Dunebound is a top-down 2D extraction shooter where every run matters. Take control of your Trampler — a legged, customizable desert vehicle that carries you and your equipment across the wastelands.
Traverse dangerous terrain, fight hostile factions, scavenge resources, and extract before you lose everything.
Every Run Matters
Between runs, you prepare your loadout and decide exactly what to bring into the desert.
Every item has weight. Every decision matters. And if you die, you lose everything you brought with you.
Your gear. Your loot. Your progress.
Risk-Reward Extraction Gameplay
Dunebound is built around high-stakes runs:
- Enter the desert with limited supplies
- Fight enemies and survive encounters
- Secure loot and resources
- Extract before everything is lost
The further you push, the higher the reward—and the higher the risk.
The Trampler — Your Mobile Base
Your Trampler is your lifeline in the wasteland.
- Fully customizable desert vehicle
- Carries your equipment and loot
- Upgradable between missions
- Acts as both transport and survival base
Losing it means losing your run.
Dynamic Combat System
Combat is fast, tactical, and situational.
Enemy Types:
- Pistol Bandits — steady pressure at mid-range
- Machine Gun Bandits — burst fire suppression
- Shotgun Bandits — deadly at close range
- Zombies — environmental threats guarding resource zones
Enemies use:
- Vision-based detection
- Sound reaction systems
- Patrol and search behaviors
- Retreat and reposition logic
Destructible Combat & Explosions
Explosives change the battlefield.
- RPGs and grenades deal area damage
- Damage affects players, enemies, and structures
- Enemy buildings can be destroyed strategically
- Chain explosions can reshape encounters
Pre-Mission Loadout System
Before each run, you choose what to bring:
- Weapons
- Ammo
- Healing items
- Utility tools
Planning is just as important as combat.
Airdrop Events
Call in supply drops using smoke grenades.
- Triggers enemy response waves
- High-value loot rewards
- Risk increases with reward
